Leslie Barrett, owner and creator of CHIME, cut into her first drum cymbal in the fall of 2006. Now, she receives cymbals from various drummers across the country. With these cracked and beat up cymbals, Leslie designs and handcrafts one-of-a-kind earrings, necklaces and bracelets.
Motivated by her love of music and desire to create new from old, Leslie’s innovative, but simple designs are inspired by the music and energy that resonates from the cymbals she cuts. In her Los Angeles, CA workshop, music is always playing, linking the old with the new and allowing the beats to play on through another art form.
