We are living in … challenging times.

Even a quick glance at the daily news is enough to make you want to pull the covers over your head and curl up until it passes. But that’s not really an option. Or at least not a good one.

It’s wiser and healthier, for all of us, to do our part to make things even just a little bit better. We’re not talking becoming a monk or a zero-waste radical vegan. We’re talking about trying to make a little progress, whenever and wherever we can – each of us in our own way.

That’s what Now with Purpose is about: simple, practical, achievable ways to live a little more thoughtfully, a little more purposefully.

And since “the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,” how about thirteen of ‘em?

This little book features a baker’s dozen of our most popular articles (literally including a little baking) that might help make your life a little more joyful and healthy. You thought you might like it. Our treat.

We hope these ideas might inspire you on your own journey. Do feel free to share this with anyone you think might like it, too. We are, as the saying goes, all in this together, so why not try to make things a little better for all of us?

The many amazing benefits of pure unrefined shea butter inspired us to create a shea butter soap bar. This creamy soap is a blend of unrefined shea butter added after the base oils have saponified, making this bar's lather rich in moisturizing shea. A splash of peppermint, lavender, and patchouli essential oils create a light fresh scent. Perfect for dry climates and dry sensitive skin.

What we love about it:

• highly moisturizing bar

• unrefined shea nut butter: gentle & healing to the skin, luxuriously moisturizing

• peppermint essential oil: antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, cooling, stimulating, gives a little tingle, helps clear mental fatigue

• lavender essential oil: antifungal + ant microbial, calms the skin and spirit, helps relieve feelings of stress

• patchouli essential oil: Known as a tissue regenerator, helps stimulate regrowth of skin cells, heals rough cracked skin

Contrary to the old cliche, "nice guys" actually finish first. They live longer. They're happier. They have more friends. They're more successful.

We totally agree. We're working hard to be kind -- and to promote civility and respect in our community. Fortunately, we attract a lot of nice people, like you...

This charming film lays out the scientific case for kindness. We want you to have a copy, FREE to the first 200 people who ask for it. (Well, you'll pay for a little shipping if your order the DVD. Steaming is totally free.)

The film is narrated by Catherine Ryan Hyde, the best-selling author of the novel (and film) Pay It Forward. Kindness Is Contagious profiles cutting-edge scientists and best-selling authors from Berkeley to Harvard and everywhere in between as well as real life people, from all walks of life, whose lives illustrate their incredible discovery: it pays to be nice!

Here's the trailer.

To help spread the "good virus" of kindness, we're giving away the film, thanks to our business siblings at CultureSonar.

We hope you enjoy it! Give one to someone you like, too. That'd be, well, nice.
