For eons, mamas and grandmamas have also used raw Oatmeal to soak and deliver miserable babes from all manners of itchy irritated skin. I developed the Oatmeal Facial Scrub for my teenaged son using the same magic grain and that same deep love."

Greta's son was struggling with both his changing teen skin AND a constant marketing onslaught for hardcore drugstore products promising instant results. It took a lot of begging (and probably bribery), but he agreed to give her a chance to find a solution for him. The search was on.

Greta looked for a natural way to cleanse thoroughly but gently, to heal redness and remove excess oil and dead skin, all of this while leaving his face nourished and hydrated even after multiple daily uses. Oatmeal, that simple old-timey remedy that's been around forever, was the answer. Grateful to have found the perfect base for a facial scrub for her teen, Greta's digging turned up a list of benefits from Oatmeal that was much longer than she expected or could have ever imagined. She started thinking the scrub could work for all types of skin and people, including herself!

Plant freak that she claims to be, Greta turned to the garden for extra help and added three flowers known to have many of the same healing properties as Oatmeal. Oatmeal Facial Scrub

This gentle yet effective formula features whole oats and three different herbal flowers to exfoliate while healing and nourishing underlying live skin.

Ingredients: Gluten-free oats, Powdered milk, Almond meal. Flowers: Lavender (Lavandula augustifolia), Rose (Rosa damascus), Chamomile (Matricaria chamomila). Essential Oils: Lavender (Lavendula agustifolia).

Directions: Sprinkle a small amount of powder into the palm of one hand. Add warm water to create a moist paste. Massage face in a circular motion with both hands. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain quality and preserve potency.

Suggested Use

• To nourish the scalp, apply several drops directly on the scalp and massage in. Use either as a pre-shampoo treatment or apply before bed to care for scalp and hair while you sleep.
• For thicker hair, follow with 2-5 drops of the oil blend added to your conditioner and apply from mid-lengths to hair ends.
• For thick curly hair, follow the steps above, then after cleansing hair use a few drops on the scalp and at the ends and comb through.
• For thin to normal hair types, when styling hair, avoid applying oil too close to the scalp.

How to use:  Put two to three pumps on moist fingertips and massage gently in upward circular motions on the face, neck, and décolleté. Be careful to avoid the eye area. Rinse with water. For best results, use morning and night.

How to use:

Push gently on the pump to dispense a small amount of  Parsley Eye Serum onto your fingertip. Dab gently under and beside the eye area as well as anywhere needing extra attention, such as around the lips, nose, and neck. Although we call this an eye serum, it also makes a great facial oil and you can use it all over the face.

How to use:

Lavender Cleanser/Toner was Greta's first skincare formula. It was born from decades of searching for products that DO WHAT SHE NEEDED THEM TO DO and NOURISH her skin at the same time.

She has struggled with sensitive skin and a lack of appropriate skincare options for her whole life. Most cleansers Greta's tried, even specialized boutique formulas, burned her face and left her skin stripped and irritated. Others didn't hurt, but also didn't clean effectively. She was always looking for something else, something more. She wanted her skin to feel healthier AFTER cleaning than it did BEFORE.

In 2014 it had been nearly ten years since Greta's family had moved from Los Angeles to Asheville North Carolina. During that time, she became obsessed with learning about the nourishing and healing powers of medicinal plants – this ancient knowledge is long associated with this particular part of Appalachia.

One day Greta noticed her cleanser-du-jour running low. She was not particularly excited about the product, so having to call and order from LA filled her with a dull, familiar dread. That moment is when it hit her -- "If I want something that feels good and does what I need it to do, I will have to make it myself. And if I was going to do it myself, I was going to start with the timeless wisdom I had gleaned from the natural world."

That same day Greta gathered a list of plants she thought would be helpful for her skin and started figuring out ways to incorporate them into a cleanser. Before long, she had incorporated nine different therapeutic plants into the lavender-lead formula. She messed around for a few weeks after that, changing little things here and there, and then BOOM! It was perfect.

From day one, Greta's skin was clean and felt nourished without a hint of irritation. She was over the moon!!! Lavender is the star, but each of the other herbs brings its own unique medicine to the recipe for cleansing, toning, and healing. She used her new cleanser/toner for several weeks before she told a soul.
